An introduction to cryptocurrencies and the blockchain

So, I am new to the whole cryptocurrency and blockchain thing, where should I start from?

On this page, you will find useful resources and links with the scope to:

a) introduce you to the most common terminology used to describe the blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

b) explain how the blockchain works.

At first, you should get familiarised with key vocabulary.  Click on this link to access a sample of key vocabulary.

You can also access our Extra Resources page. On that page, you can find slides, notes and other teaching material.

Important: It is worth to re-iterate that most of the resources on the blockchain, cryptocurrency, peer-to-peer/decentralised currencies refer to Bitcoin. This is because Bitcoin was the first,  decentralised peer-to-peer currency based on the blockchain. Therefore, it is natural that all the existing material has as main reference this pioneer cryptocurrency. However, at the risk of redundancy it should be clear that the Worthless Coin Project does not provide access to Bitcoins but only Worthless Coins.
