After Installing the Worthless Coin Wallet, you are ready to mine, send and receive coins.

The steps below are the same and don’t depend on the specific operating system (Windows, Lynux, macOS or Andorid).

Encrypting your Worthless Coin Wallet

It is important to encrypt your Worthless Coin Wallet as soon as possible. The Wallet can be encrypted by using a passphrase. The passphrase allows you to secure your Worthless Coins making it difficult for an hackers to steal them, unless they know your passphrase.

1. To encrypt your Worthless Coin Wallet start by opening your Wallet (in Windows you can open the Wallet by double-clicking on worthless-qt.exe).

2. Go to Settings : Encrypt Wallet (see image below)

3. You will be asked to enter a passphrase and confirm this.

Important: keep this passphrase secure, as you can loose access to your Wallet if you forget this. You can always change your passphrase, but you will need the old one to do so.

Backing-up your Worthless Coin Wallet

If stored in a safe place, a backup of your Worthless Coin wallet can protect you against computer failures and many mistakes. It can also help you to recover your wallet after your mobile or computer was lost or stolen, provided you are keeping your wallet encrypted.

1. To back up your Wallet start by opening your Wallet.

2. Go to File: Backup Wallet (see image below).

3. Select where on your machine your Wallet backup will be saved. You can also save your back up on USB sticks and external hard-drives.

Important: you need to backup your wallet on a regular basis to make sure that all recent Worthless Coins change addresses and all new Worthless Coins addresses you created are included in your backup. 


Mining using the Desktop Wallet (CPU)

Worthless Coin needs to be mined in order for the blockchain to process and validate transactions. Below, we describe the steps to start mining Worthless Coins using your CPU:

1. Open your Wallet.
2. Go to the Tools Menu (see top bar). Select Debug Console.
3. Now, the console window should appear, just as in the image below:

4. To start mining, type in the console the following command: setgenerate true, press enter.
On the right hand side of your screen you should see that the process of mining has started (see image below):

Note: you can check mined coins by clicking on the left hand side window : Transactions
Successfully mined coins will appear
with a green thick .

5. To obtain mining info you can type in the command bar: getmininginfo.

This will display several info:

  • Blocks : this is the current block number in the network;

  • Difficulty : this is the mining difficulty, the higher the difficulty, the harder is to solve a block;

  • Networkhashsps : the speed at which the coin is being mined in the entire network;

  • Generate :  if it says true, then you are mining, if it says false, your are not mining;

  • Hashespersec : the speed at which you are mining.

6. To stop mining type in the console the following command: setgenerate false.

Receiving Worthless coins

  1. In order to receive Worthless coins, you will require a Wallet receiving address.

  2. Go to the top Menu, and select File, Then click on “Receiving addresses” as shown in the figure below.



3. A new window will appear showing you, your current Receiving addresses. By default, one address is created when you installed your coin.
Note: you can add more addresses by pressing the button New or Remove unused addresses by pressing the Remove Button.

You can also add a label to each Receiving address so as to identify them.


Receiving coins using the Receive Tab and requesting payment using QR-code

In this tab, you can ask for a payment from another person.

Click on the Receive Tab

Label: insert the transaction label, for example: Debt to Peter.

Address: normally the receiving address would be your default address (the one, that was created when you installed the wallet,
but you can select another one by clicking on the Receiving Addresses button .)

Amount: the number of coins you are requesting to be payed.

: write a message to the other person (optional). For instance : birthday cake or cinema tickets.

Request Payment
: click on this to create the Payment request .

Once you click on Request Payment a new window will be open with a QR-code and all the transaction information.
You need to send this to the other person, in order for him to make the payment.


Sending Worthless coins

You can send Worthless coins to anyone, you just need to ask the other person to give you their Wallet Receiver Address.

Let’s click on the Send tab located on the left hand side icon menu .


Pay To: this is the field where you insert the Receiver’s address. Note: in the Pay To field, you can search all the addresses that you have already sent coins to and that you have already labelled.

Label: you can add a label to the Receiver’s address and this will be automatically saved against this address.

Amount: the quantity of coins you are sending, you can send from 1 up to 1,000,000 coins (recommended max amount).

Send: once you filled all the fields above, you are ready to send coins, just press Send.

A confirmation window will appear, press yes, and the coins will be send to the receiver’s address.

Paper Wallet Import

As its name says, a paper wallet it is made out of paper and contains QR codes and keys that are used in transactions.

To import this into your desktop wallet:

1. Unlock your Wallet. From the menu bar, click on Settings, then fully unlock the wallet (uncheck the “for staking only” box).

2. Click on the Tools button from the menu bar.

3. Select Debug window .

4. Click on the Console tab.

5. Type: **importprivkey PrivateKeyHere “label”** and press Enter. (ENSURE YOU INCLUDE THE **””**).

Note: label is the name you want for your address (For example: **”exchange”**).

6. In same menu, click on Wallet Repair tab.

7. Click on Rescan blockchain files.

The wallet will restart and rescan the blockchain (it takes a few seconds).
